“Russian snow”
The black canvas installation
The central subject of my exhibition at the Moscow Conservatory was the experimental art installation “Russian Snow”, with a black canvas and a music stand.
First, I placed an empty black canvas on a stretcher, symbolizing a turned off TV or phone screen, or some empty space, in front of which I invited visitors to the exhibition to think: what helps them to survive the winter cold with optimism?
And I placed colorful stickers and pens on a metal music stand nearby.
Gradually, the black space of the canvas began to be filled with… human warmth!
People shared their ideas, and each new guest of the exhibition saw the canvas space filled with positive leaves and contributed something of their own.
In Russian, English, Chinese, Spanish, Finnish! In verse and prose! It was amazing. You (we) are incredible!
As a result, the black canvas was transformed into a living space of positivity, warmth, and humor. It was wonderful!
The experiment was a success, and we warmed each other with warmth.
This is our collective “Russian Snow”.
